Bang Lumpoo, Bangkok

One of an old areas in Bangkok near a section of Chao Phraya River with a small canal by the side linking the entire canal net work. It is just a stone throw away from the much loved (by hippies, yippies and all other kind of life style imaginable, plus local and myself!) Kao San Road. Bang Lumpoo is known for its extensive offer of clothing as well as local preserved food and snacks.

This is a place where I have visited since childhood and I am glad that all the familiar features and buildings are still much the same.
