Countdown to Rugby World Cup Kick-off

In a soccer (football) mad world, rugby doesn’t really feature. In rugby (you know, the one with the oval ball) mad New Zealand however, as our national game, it’s huge – especially when you’re hosting the World Cup!

Auckland’s waterfront has been converted into rugby central with large screens, new buildings like ‘The Cloud’ below (sketched in it’s early stages a few months back), renovated old shipping warehouses and this giant inflatable rugby ball (which has spent the last year or so touring Paris, Tokyo and London to promote the cup), and a hefty schedule of concerts, shows, fireworks displays, you name it.

Yep, it’s going to be complete and utter chaos, I can’t wait, just 2 days to go! And of course, go the AB’s!
