Straight to Colors – Markers

I’ve been working on ‘straight to colors’ sketches, which are the concept I’m introducing in my workshop in Santo Domingo.

The basic idea is working straight to masses of colors instead of using lines and adding colors later. Trying to suggesting, more than describing.

This is the concept of painterly painters.

Actually, you could use lines, but only to configure small features at the end of the process.

This is a long journey that can get us closer to the act of painting. That’s a difficult subject in my opinion, but I’ve been working hard to make my best as an instructor. I thought it would worth sharing this ideas with you guys.
