Vertical Panorama

Victoria - St. John the Divine Church by Matthew-1

Victoria – St. John the Divine Church, a photo by Matthew-1 on Flickr.

A quick sketch of the leaning spire of St. John the Divine church – just kidding – only the sketch leans!

I’m posting this sketch to let you all know about a new flickr group called “sketches in vertical format”. It is a group dedicated to double page vertical panorama sketches like this one.

The vertical format forces a very inventive and creative approach to composition which the group work displays in abundance.

If you have some vertical sketches like these, please join the group – we’d be happy to see your work!
