Look at my eyes

Look

I made these drawings while waiting my turn at the ophthalmologist’s office. The 2 ladies had quite appropriate attitudes for the environment.

The first one caught my eye because of the garish color of her pullover, not so usual for older people. Some full bright colored appearance would have been much less thrilling than that pullover screaming in the midst of a sober and discreet clothing, combed gray hair, dark stockings, black skirt  The lady insisted on looking at some indeterminate point in front of her and did it without glasses, as if that should help her to fix her look on that point. Several times the man on her right side said something,  the she the put on the glasses, turned the head, answered telegraphically, put the glasses off and turned back to stare her favorite point.

Only a very short-sighted person shoul have missed that the woman of the second drawing was long-sighted. She didn’t hide behind the magazine, she couldn’t read otherwise. I bet that was what she had to tell the doctor.
