The crackle of excitement before the show…

Victoria – stage at Alix Goolden Hall prior to C.R. Avery and Richard Thompson, originally uploaded by Matthew-1.

Richard Thompson came to town and although my sketches of him are not fit for visual consumption, I did do a sketch of the stage before the show which I thought turned out all right. I like all the wires going all over the place, and the Oriental carpet on the stage was a nice touch.

The piano was for the opening act – C.R. Avery – as Thompson entertained for an hour and a half simply with his voice and his guitar. To say that he can play is an understatement.

My brother told me that Thompson is a Sufi Muslim, I found that very interesting and inspiring.

Not a bad show.
