The night view from Tokyo Sky Tree

I have been giving up going to the observation deck of Tokyo Sky Tree ever since it became a popular tourist destination until yesterday. I once tried to go last year but there were too many people waiting there and I lost my interest… But yesterday I had sketch session with Asuka who has visited Tokyo from Australia and I encouraged her ( and maybe myself) to visit there. We received numbered tickets at around 16:30. The ticket says that we need to show up at the gate B at around 18:30~19:00 and will be able to enter, ride the elevator to get to the observation deck at around 19:30. So we had plenty of time to kill…. to sketch.

This was done from the very bottom of the tower. Needed to look up the sky high and look down on the sketchbook repeatedly many times….

As you can already see we were not able to see the view from the observation deck while daytime. Still there were many people enjoy the night view through the windows from 350 meter high.

Actually this was lower observation floor, there is one more observation floor on 450 meter high ( and if you are to go, you have to pay extra fee) but we decided not to go further high floor, instead, we went to a restaurant on the floor 340, there we had cup of coffee/tea and sketched night view.
