Valley Sketching

chicken

Eden Hospital, Castro Valley, CA

Here are a couple recent sketches- the first from Scotts Valley, and the second from Castro Valley. Some friends who live in Scotts Valley, near Santa Cruz, invited us over for the weekend. We played tennis, visited the coast, and roasted marshmallows at night, talking about our adventures together in Germany and several vacations. We even tried visiting the famous Santa Cruz “Mystery Spot” while we were there. It was so packed full of visitors, they were turning cars away by the droves. As parking is $5, and the entrance fee is $5 each , it is truly a mystery to me why so many people go there. Maybe it’s just to get one of those popular bumper stickers I see all over the place. The sketch below is a sketch I did in Castro Valley, while they were tearing down the old Eden Hospital. And of course, I can’t help making another video with chickens and fiddle music.
