sketching Red Rock

Red Rock statue
sketching in Clovis

There’s a new statue in town depicting the famous ride of Red Rock the bull by legendary cowboy Lane Frost in 1988. This bronze statue was just installed at the entrance to the Clovis Rodeo grounds, where hundreds of rodeo fans, including myself, will celebrate 100 years of rodeos in this town. I had the opportunity to sketch it today, in the late October summer-like weather.
