sketch right side of the palace seen at the same floor of the above one
I drew this by brush directly without pen or pencil drawing. I had to be very careful not to make mistakes. I felt satisfied with the result after tension.

I drew another one monotonously looking up the Namsan(southern mountain).

I visited the new city, Songdo city located west-south ward from Seoul, created by landfill. Because I heard much about the city I wanted to see it I tried to see the cityscape from the Oak Wood Hotel of Neat Tower(68th floor). Luckily I read that there is a cafe in 36th floor to view the city. Before I enter the building I drew this one in street. It was so cold that the water became frozen at once. You can see the frozen pattern in the sky of the drawing.

cityscape seen from the 36th floor
The city seemed to be filled day by day. There were lots of vacant sites though buildings and apartments were high rise. But it looked better rather than all the space filled compactly. I could see the west sea far.

I visited the Museum of Photography, Seoul located at Songpa-gu,Seoul yesterday. I appreciated the impressive black and white works of Ara Guler, The Eye of Istanbul. His love for people could be found among his works as he said as follows:
“Nothing matters any more when love of mankind is lost. A life without human cannot exist. Therefore my pictures always include person, even when I’m taking a picture of Aya Sofia, what counts is the person passing by who stands for life.”
In winter I visit museums or high rise buildings to escape from cold weather. And I look for new places from traveling books. I thank for the authors who published those precious information.
