Preparing for new year

New year in Iran begins with spring. People celebrate the changes of year, the world and the rebirth of nature.

Nowruz is the name of the Iranian new year. It is the most important holiday in Iran. Preparations for Nowruz begin in the month Esfand (or Espand), the last month of winter in the Persian solar calendar.

In Nowruz they dress their new clothes and visit their families, friends and neighbors.

These days, they are going to bazaar and other markets to buy new things.

And these are some sketches of these days. Hope you enjoy.
