Guest post by Federico Tessandori from Buenos Aires, Argentina

On Saturday August 29 we organized an USK Argentina outing to Museo del Automóvil (automobile museum), just to draw cars! The museum is located in the Devoto Neighborhood, and it’s a private collection. One can find race cars, cars for a particular use, domestic, imported, historical, et cetera.
My first sketch was a service pick-up for racing driver Oscar Alfredo Galvez. I really like the front part with chrome and aluminum, and the body in 2 colors.
I drew on a Moleskine watercolor sketchbook A4, with fine liners 005 and 01 in 90 minutes. I added some color touches on location, then completed with watercolors at my desk.

On the same page is a totem of the Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA), which is found in all service stations of the Club.

The totem was with a Lamy fountain pen with an extra fine nib with water resistant ink and watercolors. It took 30 minutes.
And at last, a beautiful fire truck. I loved the radiator frame in bronze.

I drew with a Kaweco fountain pen with extra fine nib with water resistant ink in 60 minutes. I later completed with watercolors at home.
Federico was born and lives in Buenos Aires. He is an architect. He started urban sketching about 3 years ago and tries to sketch 3 or 4 times a week. He also coordinates Urban Sketchers outings with Norberto Dorantes.
