Call for Symposium Host 2018

We are seeking a host for the 9th International Urban Sketchers Symposium in 2018!

Previous Hosts:

Portland 2010 • Lisbon 2011 • Santo Domingo 2012 • Barcelona 2013

Paraty 2014 • Singapore 2015 • Manchester 2016 • Chicago 2017

This year the Host Selection will happen in 3 Stages:

STAGE 1 > Registration of interest

From March 20th to April 10th

After reading the Symposium Host Selection Handbook, interested Host cities are encouraged to submit a Registration of Interest. Any queries shall be forwarded to the Symposium Team, for clarification. This allows the Symposium Team preliminary understanding of location and Host, as a first step to developing the best host proposal.

If your submission gets shortlisted the Symposium Team will contact you to proceed with stage 2.

STAGE 2 > Host Proposal

To be submitted by May 22nd

After completion of Stage 1, the shortlisted Host applicants are encouraged to give ample information to compile a Host Proposal; including introduction of their facilities, venues and all other important aspects of the Symposium planning process.

If your submission gets shortlisted we will contact you to proceed with stage 3.

STAGE 3 > Interview

First week of June

At this Stage the Symposium Team will interview the shortlisted Host City proposals for additional information and any necessary clarification.
