Duomo

[Stephanie Bower, Seattle] Dead tired, but couldn’t pass up the evening light on the beautiful Duomo and Baptistry in Florence. Wow, do we Urban Sketchers push through!!!! I think I could barely move my hand, so I just sat and let it take all the time it needed.

Next day, enjoying a caffe latte at lunch (in the SHADE!) with Goda at the l’Opera Caffe literally across from this beautiful door of the Duomo. The people were standing in line to enter the Tower.

My favorite spot is that bit of red on the door, which was actually a mistake…I accidentally picked up some Pyrrole Orange, but it ended up looking great! Love when that happens!

One more post of Firenze to come…

And I’m thrilled to be teaching a perspective and watercolor Urban Sketchers workshop here in Seattle August 16-19… registration starts on July 5. See more info on the USk Workshops page!
