Staying Safe During the Symposium: Tips for Hot Weather

Temperatures are expected to remain high during the Symposium. To help everyone stay comfortable, healthy, and enjoy the event, we invite all participants to take a few simple precautions.

Stay hydrated
Drink water regularly throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Refill your bottle whenever possible.

Seek shade and cool spaces
Whenever you can, spend time in shaded areas or indoor spaces during breaks, especially during the warmest part of the day.

Protect yourself from the sun
Wear a hat, sunglasses, and light, breathable clothing. Sunscreen is recommended if you are spending extended periods outdoors.

Take advantage of the cooler morning hours before noon.
Try to avoid strenuous activity between approximately 12:00 and 16:00, when temperatures are at their highest.

Look out for one another
Please check in with fellow participants, especially those who may be more sensitive to heat. If someone feels unwell, dizzy, unusually tired, or nauseous, seek assistance immediately.

Together, we can make sure everyone enjoys a safe, comfortable, and inspiring Symposium experience.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and take care of each other.
