1. How to compose a sketch on location using patterns on colored paper.
2. How to create a focal point using varied mediums and textures
3. How to use a suitable color harmony in relation to the color of the paper
4. How to introduce light and luminosity and contrasts to make our colors pop up on a colored background.

The instructor
Farah Irani has a background in graphic design which led her into illustration and visual design. Following her passion for theatre, she has as a creative director designed sets and brought the stage to life through her designs.
She initiated “USP Dialogues”, an interactive platform for talks, presentations and book reviews centred on urban sketching, every trimester, as a part of the core committee of Urban Sketchers Pune. She believes that sketching on location as an Urban sketcher has intensified her observation of the world around her and enhanced her creative journey.
