On your sketchbooks, pencils up and let your artistic eyes run wild!
Any athletic connotations of how the 2nd day of the symposium began, is pure coincidence, however the hundreds of eager sketchers and the volunteers keeping high the workshop signs to keep together each group, did indeed accomplish some athletic performances, crossing Toulouse’s town from one side to another.
To see the sketching workshops, demos and drink n’draw frenzy, check it out in my second video of this year’s Symposium here:
But as they say, pleasure dulls the pain, and the learning, the sketching, the discovery and USk camaraderie was well worth the effort. As a video correspondent, no sketching opportunity for me, yet there were sketch-worthy moments and lessons I still keep in my mind, for instance, Richard’s 1 minute of taking in the place in silence, and thus, notice what in normal circumstances often escapes our eyes and ears and also seeing a city full of sketchers everywhere, popping here and there like champignons.
With nature in mind, one very unique event was still scheduled for the day, for the lucky ones who managed to register, the Muséum de Toulouse opened its doors for an exceptional drink n’draw! If I didn’t still have a video to edit, I could have stayed there all night.
